Ahhh, guy here with hair troubles (link inside)?

So im a 15 year old male. And not quite sure what to do with my hair -_-.. I want long hair.. people say it suits me more. So recently I've taken to straightening every few days.. and its not bad, but could be better. Some people tell me I look emo, others say I look lik ethe beatle.s.. which I HATE. Im not emo but I do like that style and want it.. but not sure how to go about it. I just do not want the beatles style. Sure my hair isn't THAT long... but I dont want it long anyway, just up to my eye (which it is). My hair seems to be growing out... help? Sorry if im not clear, its been a long day. So how can I go about getting a style like say..

Ok first off, the hair that you want is hot!

I don't think you're doing anything wrong with how you style it, but it needs cut. Take those pictures to a hair salon and ask them if there is someone there who can cut your hair like the pictures. Don't go to master cuts or your grandma's hair salon, go somewhere more edgy or near a college. These people will be more experienced with giving you the hair you want!

The difference between your hair and their's is that your hair is all about the same length, but their's is layered. Look at the top of the guy's hair in the first picture. His hair is a little spiky on top. that's because he has some super short layers. The other guy's layer's are not as short, but he still has them. The other difference is that the ends of their hair is much thinner. This is done by having the stylist razor your hair.

You shouldn't have to tell all of this to the hair stylist, she or he should be able to tell just by looking at the pictures you showed me. Be sure to bring the pictures.

Once your hair is cut, straighten it and add a little wax or pomade and you are set!
