I decided to get emo hair for the new school year. I sometimes wear emo bangs, but this time i decided to get real emo hair. How do i go about doing this? I don't wanna color my hair, just get an emo style and long bangs. I'm black with hair thats longer in the back((to the bottom of my neck)) and shorter in the front((about to my chin)), would a style like this work, but without the spikyness?

condition your hair everytime and dont cut it too short is my advice. long curly hair on a round face is hottt. if however you must become a sacrificing mother go for a shoulder cut, but again keep it conditioned.

I think you should go to a couple of good hairdressers and discuss it with them, they will show you some magazines and suggest some styles that will suit the shape of your face etc.

Hair grows about 1cm per month. Growing really long hair can take around 7 years.

Cutting your hair wont make it grow slower. Your hair grown from the roots.

It is definatly a good idea to reguarly trim your hair to keep it looking healthy (theres nothing worse then seeing damaged hair on the tips).

Whatever you feel like doing with your hair, do it, so you dont get bored with it. I tried growing mine for years and eventually got sick of it and cut it all off, because i never got any nice haircuts/styles.

It also looks like your hair color is multi dimensional (dark on bottom lighter on top) a great look is a long layer razor cut (you could do shorter face framing layers around the face for a more dramatic effect). Cutting with a razor gives fine hair movement and texture. Just tell your stylist not to go crazy with the texturizing, you do want hair left after all.

Girl, nothing shows off highlights more then wavy soft curls! Just put your hair in some big barrelled curlers for about 20mins, or if you have a wide curling iron that works well too. Trust me if you want to show off your highlights, this is deff the way to do it!

My suggestion is consult with a hair stylist. All colors/cuts don't suit every person. You should make sure the color compliments your complexion and the cut works well with your face shape.

i went with a shoulder length hair cut with extreme layers and shagged around my face, i have around face and it looks awesome.

if you want to go really short, try for a shag, it will frame your face and also go for a swoop bang.

these styles are very easy to manage, just run some gel through it and your good to go :)

Hair styling advice. Is it possible to scrunch super straight hair?

I have very very straight hair. It dries straight without me needing to do anything and I get not one wave. My hair is also pretty long.

I try to curl my hair, but it doesn't really hold. I've put in styling spray and then hot curlers, but after about 30 minutes, the curls are very deflated. I've been wanting to scrunch my hair, but I don't think my hair will cooperate with me. I tried it once and it just stayed straight and had a bunch of gel in it.

I was just wondering if anyone else out there had this problem and figured out a technique to make super straight hair scrunched, and stay that way.

(ps. I'm familiar with how to scrunch hair for cooperating hair, so please don't leave answers about how to apply the gel and squeeze because that doesn't work on me.)

Well, I have jet straight hair, too and I always scrunch my hair! All my friends and classmates say it looks great! I had to experiment to find a way. The way I do this is:

1) After getting out of the shower, I towel dry my hair, so it's jst damp.

2) Then, I brush my hair and then towel dry it again.

3) Next I put moose, gel, and some hair spray in my hair and push the hair up, just so it is a little bit wavy.

4) After that, I take all of my hair and make it one big clump of folded, twisted, and scrunched up hair and use at least 2 hair ties to hold it in a bun.

5) Then, I spray the bun with more hair spray, and then blow dry it a little, then spray it, then blow dry it a little, spray it, until somewhat dry.

6) Finally, I go to sleep, and wake up in the morning and take out all the hair ties, and my hair is scrunched like everyone else's.

7) Then i just shake out all the knots or whatever is clumped up, but just DON'T BRUSH IT!

8) Then I just hairspray it all over so that it stays all day, and it works every time for me!

I wouldn't scrunch it, only because it enhances naturally curly hair. If I were you, I would put plain, soft rollers in your damp hair, and blow it dry using a diffuser. This creates soft curls really well.

i know how you feel. striaght hair isnt so easy to work with sometimes. I firgured out that it is posssible to scrunch my str8 hair tho!

1.Start off with wetttttt hair. MUST BE WET

2. Add in mousse and frizz cream.

3. Take a blow dryer with a diffuser attachment on and dry your hair scrunching as you dry. A diffuser attachment evaporates the water in your hair without blowing a stream of air to your locks.

4. Add in gel. I prefer to use spray gel, but whatever works for you. [Keep scrunching]

5. If your hair stillllllllllll isnt working, scrunch, and hold your hair to your head and spray hairspray.

6. Keep using the diffuser until your hair is completely dry or else your hair will fall out.Trust me when i say this!

Following these steps your hair should scrunch perfectly!Good Luck!

I need to know how to style short hair. It's not completely short. It閳ユ獨 layered. The longest part is in the back about an inch or so below my shoulders. The shortest is in the front just a tiny bit lower then my ears. My hair is naturally wavy, but I liked to straighten it when my hair was long. My hair color is a very, very, VERY dark brown (have been told it閳ユ獨 black T_T;;;).

I'm also asian (1/4 thai and 3/4 lao) so i want to keep the asian flair in my hair. And I'm a devoted rocker and J-rock fan. So no girly girly stuff.My face shape is somewhere between round and square閳?I think. I'm also 13.(Are those relevant?)

I get compliments on my hair all the time, I'm 18 and have been styling my own hair for 10 years. The trick is hairspray extra hold, just spray your dry hair untill it is pretty much wet and mess it up with your hands, make it look really messy. The look is commonly refered to messy on purpose. Once you have your hair looking somewhat crazy style it down a knoch or keep it messy. Once it is dried a little just lightly coat your hair with another couple of sprays of the hair spray and your hair will turn heads! :P good luck

Hi i also had that problem...and i am also asian. lol

but anyways, i found that for asian hair, once you cut it it slightly waves at the ends because of the cut, so what works for me is, towel dry it after you shower, put some product in it. I like to use mousse, and then part it to where you like, then blow dry it to the style you want. You can even buy one of those straightening brushes from like walmart or target so you dont have to use a flat iron. But if you dont want to spend the cash...a regular hair brush does just as fine. Once you start blow drying...make sure you aim the blow dryer down your hair rather than up so you dont get that electrocuted frizzy look...haha ...oh yeah...and to keep that asian smoothness and shininess a boar bristle brush helps....the hair brushes that dont have the plastic bristles...the other kind.haha...kk ...good luck..hope this helps

I think it sounds good down, you could part it differently. And I think like side bangs are rather rocker too. Yeah...mine is horribly short(trying to find my own style). Highlights are also fun, from your color, I think red highlights would be awesome. And since it`s shorter, smaller pigtails that stick out, I think are a cute style. Good luck!

ok girl yes you can rock your short style and do your long extensions later too!

the least expensive and realistic method is the sew in method. the upper sections of your hair will be left loose to cover up the extensions. The rest of your hair will be cornrowed and the hair will be sewn onto the cornrows. It will NOT damage your hair if taken out within 2-3 months. In fact it actually promotes hair growth.

if you go to your stylist of look for local hair extentionist in your area they will assist you step by step. I am white but I go to black hair salons to get extensions bc they do the job just as well as the over paid white salons who claim to specialize.

if you want to go really short, try for a shag, it will frame your face and also go for a swoop bang.

It all depends on the cut of the dress.

You can try pulling up the sides in different strands, sort of like a weave of hair, but not tight, and bring them to the back. Then add the curls. If you have long hair, i don't suggest real tight curls either because it will distract from the dress. It's always about the dress. There are so many things you can do with long hair. Look at bride magazines for free at the store and get ideas from there. You can mix and match some of looks. Congrats on your wedding. It's all about you, so have fun with it.

I would recommend using hair spray first off.

You might also want some texture from a wax (there are texturing waxes but they can weigh some hair down. they weigh mine down D:)

If not a wax, use a pomade for texture. Another neat thing is taking the hair spray and spraying it into your hand and using it like a texturizing pomade that will also hold.

Also for hold, gel. With the right gel you can use it for texture + hold.

These are all important, but you need to get the right products! And you should check online for reviews first. This always helps me. You should have at least two of the products that I mentioned to get your hair the way you want. I always feel that hairspray is such a necessity and that you might want to start with getting that!

With straightening your hair, that would be a good idea.

I would give you advice on how to dry your hair but I'm not sure with that XD

This was two months ago. The dye was Redkin and the color came out awesome. No fading or anything. I have tried it all; gel, mousse, frizz ease, static guard spray for laundry, different shampoo/conditioner, styling creme. Nothing works.

Listen, I have been doing hair for over 13 yrs. and I own a salon in the MD area. The best thing to do right now is to take One Teaspoon of Extra Virgin Olive Oil and heat it in the microwave for about 2 mins. Then mix it with your Great conditioner that you bought at the salon. Leave it in your hair for 15-20mins then rinse out do this once every week and it will help that frizz.

The problem is that your hair is out of wack with the coloring. the next time that you go and get your color done is to conditon your hair prior to the sevice (you do not have to come to the salon with wet hair.) this will help your hair then tell your stylist what is going on with your hair so he/she can help you futher.

if you have a sally's or any other store where hairstylist's get their stuff there is a conditioner called "henna %26amp; placenta" its in a tan-ish colored packet and yes its made from actual placenta and i know thats nasty but it works GREAT!

you need some serious conditioning treatment. My hair dresser is also great in scalp therapy and does scalp treatments, like with hot oil and more serious things than you can get at the store, perhaps you should try someone like that.

I have SUPER curly hair and I always get it cut a little past my shoulder with long layers bc if you just say layers they will cut it really far up and the curl will curl really far up to your head and that look weird. Okay so right now I have brown straight hair that is kind of long. I'm looking for a cute (not Hello Kitty Cute but a hot teenager look) new hair style that'll amaze everyone when I get back to school. I remember this cute Hair Style I saw on an advertisement or on a solon's wall or something. It was so cute and I just had to have it. But I need to show my parents and make sure its pretty cheap (like below $50). I saw it on a person that kinda looked Korean like the one in 200 Pounds Of Beauty. And she had beautyful hair that was kinda curly (not curly like curly fries) but kinda straight at the same time. I would say go blonde with layers cause that's what I have and I love it. i wouldn't change my hairstyle again. It was the best thing I did. It looks more cool when I have it straightened. A couple of weeks ago... I got my hair cut short, its is a bit longer than my chin, and the back is choped up and short so you can spike it. I have only a few styles I can do... like put a lot of gel in it and make it look crazy, flip it out, put boby pins in my hair to hold it back, and flip it in ward. First let me say that just wearing your hair down is perfect. My boyfriend even said that he wished that more girls would leave their hair long instead of doing those short choppy cuts (which was a hint to me not to cut my hair off, hehe). Anyway, I've heard that from other guy friends as well, so you've already got stylish hair just as is.

The other thing that is really in style now is curls. So many people have been straightening their hair that curls are now really unique. I got my hair permed, and I get so many complements on how good it looks. I also feel like my hair is a lot easier to style that way (you just scrunch and run). My hair is about halfway down my back now, but I'm growing it out just to give you an idea.

Anyway, you go to the salon and ask for a perm using the biggest rollers. Don't freak out if they finish and it looks like a poodle. It's really tight until you wash it (which you have to wait AT LEAST 48 hours before you wash your hair after a perm). Then you just use a good gel or a scrunching spray, and voila, you're ready to go. Instant awesome hair. Oh, and the perm is good for 6 months, so it works out to be a lot less than getting your hair professionally dyed.

I would keep the long hair, if I were you. a lot of celebs. have longer hair and to style it I would have some side swept bangs that go across the forehead. Then for The actual hair, do kind of a messy down on the shoulders or a curly. wavy hairdo... and if you want you can even go Straight but wouldn't cut it if I were you. also more of a dark color is in now not so much bleach blonde anymore

Headbands, (get the skinny, "subtle" looking ones because the huge fat ones are soooo out!!!) small barettes, even some tasteful ribbon. I love using all of them. Just search the web for some long hairstyles. If you're bent on getting it cut then I'd only take off about four to six inches, too much will kind of shock you and you could end up regretting it.

Try getting a perm but not a do it yourself one. Call a professional or just gell and scrunch it with a defuser and a hairdryer. Works for me.

Try a perm, It should make your hair appear a lot shorter - if your main problem is because your hair is too long.

If not, then make a ponytail, braid it, and then wrap around to make a pretty bun, decorated with some hair accessories.

i have hair like yous too - but there is nothing keeping me from cutting mine I wear mine in a ponytail everyday cause i'm a student and don't have a lot of time but there are a lot of things you can do with braids - you can French braid it or Dutch braid it or do two dutch braids and wrap them into a bun or you can do little braids all over for a couple days...this site shows how to do some braids - some are pretty strange but some are ok sometimes it is fun to curl your hair - when my hair is damp I roll secctions of it with chopsticks then use a clip and remove the chopsticks you do this all over then put a showercap or somthing that goes over rolls and sleep overnight or read for 4 or five hours - the longer the better - then take out the clamps and voila ringlets you can then carefully do a part up part down hairdo ...hope this helps! good luck =D

hey, I've always had long hair.. down to my knees and for years all I would do with it was plait it and put it in a bun on top of my head... but a few months ago a friend of mine showed me a few ways to 'style' my hair so that it was showed off a bit more... buy yourself some nice clips and experiment with clipping your hair up in different ways :-) leaving it out or just tied back loosely can also look really nice, or putting it in a pig-tail and on the last loop only pull your hair half way through so it is essentially doubled-up. another thought is to get hold of the original star wars trilogy and see how Princess Leia (played by Carrie Fischer) styles her extremely long hair..... whatever you do though make it so that you are comfortable with it coz nothing is more annoying than a hairstyle that is non-practical and something you're not happy with.

Change it, for sure! Much more stylish the second way, but still not looking like you spent a lot of time doing it. The first hair cut looks like a haircut from the 80's.

Yeahh, definitely change it to the shorter haircut, it looks a lot better with the longer part in the front, and falls over your face nicely, making you look clean and not messy at all!!!

if you have thick hair,you should keep it really long,or buzzed.i would keep it long,but get some layers or get a skater dude cut ,or you could definantely get it feathered out.just remember with long hair you could have more styles-liberty spikes,Mohawk, or what ever u like.i prefer long hair though.peace-out dude.

I think you would look better but still edgy. You kinda have a Dave Growl (sorry, I can't spell...the dude from Foo Fighters and Nirvana) think going on. With the new hair style you can update that look for now a days.

As for the goat...either keep it the way it is or I suggest growing it down alittle longer below the lip...stop before it gets to the chin!
