Hair gel or hair spray?

i have long, layered hair with bangs and i need to put it in a really neat ponytail. what should i use to keep my styled hair in place as well to keep those short strands from standing out?

Hair gel or hair spray?

put a little bit (only a little bit) of gel before tying it up and then after you put it up...spray some hairspray to hold it up. also, when you're putting hairspray on make sure you hold the hairspray bottle as far away as you can from your hair.

i would say use hair gel. it keeps your hair tight in place. and secures it more.

Well hair spray is most used as a setting products so you would use it last and you might not get the results you want. For a ponytail gel is probably the best way to go.

Hair Spray but do not use that much. I have very long and thick hair and it works for me.

Hair gel or hair spray?

i think u should use hair gel cause hair spray is okay but once u spray it it stays right were u sprayed the hairspray and u can't change it but with hair gel u can and u can also shape to whatever style u want.

Hair Gel.......Because it is harder.

Hair gel or hair spray?

First put gel and then put hairspray that keeps it down for 8 hours strait but don't put water in your hair after that.

girl i would advise you not to use any as it will dry out, flake and damage and or rot your hair.

Anyway in this case: use a bit of hair gel when catching it up (specifically apply it around the hair line, comb in and maybe rub some on top). Then you can use the hair spray as the final touch to hold your hair ends and give it a sheen.

Hair gel or hair spray?

both hair gel and hair spray would work just fine and if u use them together it wouldn't budge
