to grow your hair? like how long does it grow each month.
also is it alright to have your hair style cut even though your trying to grow it? or is it better to have it dead-straight cut.
ie. your hair is layered + a short side fringe but your growing it.
thanks :)
How long does it take? Hair grows about 1cm per month. Growing really long hair can take around 7 years.
Cutting your hair wont make it grow slower. Your hair grown from the roots.
It is definatly a good idea to reguarly trim your hair to keep it looking healthy (theres nothing worse then seeing damaged hair on the tips).
Whatever you feel like doing with your hair, do it, so you dont get bored with it. I tried growing mine for years and eventually got sick of it and cut it all off, because i never got any nice haircuts/styles.
How long does it take? It grows about 1/2" each month, but it can depend on your hair also
and yes, its ok to get it style but as long as the stylist knows not to take much off ex- i have very straight hair that used to be mid back and i got it cut really short, and although it doesnt look terrible, i miss my long hair so in effort to make it look better i dyed it, my hair stylist didnt want to strip it or dye it anymore so she jsut styled it and layered it to draw attention away from my brown roots and red hair :) so it can be styled even if you want to grow it out, and sometimes styling it can help your hair too
How long does it take? If you want to grow it out, just tell the stylist to "dust" the ends. That means, you just want the split ends taken off and nothing more. If your split ends aren't bad, it shouldn't need much more than that.
How long does it take? If you really want your hair to grow, there are these drops called "BioSil", you just put 6 drops in a cup of juice and drink it regularly. It takes about a month for the hair to actually start growing, but after that, your hair grows like weeds.
How long does it take? your hair grows about .44 mm each day, meaning about half a millimeter,
which is 6 inches or 15 cm per year.
i heard if you have an allover length it's easier to grow out, just so it's more convenient to keep track of split/dead ends and for trims.
basically, your hair is a reflection of your overall health, since the body works together like a big machine. so if you're getting adequate sleep, exercise, vitamins, etc., your hair will be healthier as opposed to if you didn't.
also, try not to use shampoos and conditioners with harsh cleansers, like sodium lareth/lauryl sulfate. chemical damage will definitely slow down the growth process. brush your hair to stimulate the follicles and treat it (using something like jojoba oil) now and then. you can get lots of tips for hair treatments at home online.
i have layered hair but i'm trying to grow it too, so it is a little harder to make sure all of it is healthy but i have a great hair-lady so its fine. hope this helps!
How long does it take? 1/2 an inch a month, so I've been told.
and yeah, I'd recommend having layers and bangs and stuff while you're growing it out so as to maintain sanity, just because you're a work in progress doesn't mean you should have nasty boring hair right?! :D ha
